My name is John Banks and I live here in Tenerife and I’m a member of Tenerife Family Church. I’ve known Johnny and Hellen ever since Johnny was slain in the Spirit in his barn. I was slain in the Spirit too at the same time. So we were laying next to each other slain in the Spirit. He’s always been a great friend to me ever since that time.

When there was Covid I was considered a vulnerable person and I got a text from my doctor saying that I should isolate myself because I suffered from asthma and I always had respiratory chest infections. I was in my flat for nine weeks during the lock down. And during that time Johnny Gallagher and Hellen, his wife were really supportive of me.

Johnny rang me twice a day to make sure things were OK and if I needed anything. And Hellen would go to the supermarket and get whatever I wanted. I could sent them a text with my shopping list and the next day they would go out and buy it all. Without fail they would come round and support me in my situation.

If I needed anything they’d get it. I wanted to start growing plants on my balcony and Johnny went to buy me a bag of soil so I could grow some tomatoes.

Other members of the church also helped obviously; they would ring me up and go and get me stuff, but I must say that Johnny and Hellen went out of their way to help me. They showed the love of Jesus towards me.

I’m very grateful for them for doing that.
